Who is Julie Nondorf?

I'm a Racine native and a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. I am a former high school English teacher and professional writer and editor.

I have had the honor and pleasure of tutoring students from pre-k through college and am experienced in working with ADHD and ASD as well as ESL.

I have worked with many families and am now looking to bring you and your  family a huge sigh of relief as we all adapt to today's new academic normal.

Former
High School
Teacher

In addition to teaching tenth grade at Christian Life School in Kenosha, I have tutored Racine Unified School District elementary school students.

As an employee, I worked at UWP and Gateway Technical College tutoring. At Parkside, I really enjoyed my work helping students improve their writing. I provided top-notch editorial advice and proofreading of their work. I also trained them in word processing and research skills, and performed presentations introducing staff and students to the services available at the Writing Center. This was a fun job that helped me develop my training, relationship, and diversity skills.

Experienced &
Professional

At Gateway, I worked with students--many of whom are at risk--to remove barriers to success in terms of their education. I tutored in a variety of subjects in addition to my specialty, writing and editing. I helped adults improve their study skills, more effectively analyze and interpret their psychology, sociology, and early childhood course materials, and helped them improve their abilities to work with computers and the Microsoft Office Suite. I loved the opportunities this position afforded to make a real difference in the lives of adults in my community, as well as the fact that I myself was constantly learning.

White House Weighs Canceling Student Debt

After months of insistence from President Joe Biden that he will not pursue wide-scale cancelation of student loan debt, the White House officials are now considering ways the president could use executive authority to cancel some amount of student loan debt.

Education Secretary Miguel Cardona said he met with key senators and stakeholders ‘to find a path forward’ on the issue after the administration appeared cool to wide-scale action.

ACT versus SAT

WHEN IT COMES TO THE ACT vs. the SAT, both exams are widely accepted by U.S. colleges, which often prompts students to ask: Which test should I take?

Common Core: What is it Anyway?

The Common Core is a set of high-quality academic standards in mathematics and English language arts/literacy (ELA).
